Direct Wines were looking to pilot a craft beer subscription brand for 6 months. Following a co-creation workshop with key stakeholders to establish creative territories, I created a series of moodboards looking for a creative solution – borrowing techniques from design thinking and Google Design Sprints the key stakeholders voted on their favourite elements.
I then contributed to the exploration of potential names and turned the three strongest into logos which I presented to the key stakeholders who chose their favourite name/logo combination.
Working with the chosen logo, I created a brand book setting out tone of voice and visual style of the brand, including logo usage, colour palette, typography, graphics, iconography, and photography.
Using the brand book, and working with our UX and development teams, I then able designed the templates for the Shopify eCommerce solution ensuring the brand personality was communicated and the user journeys were clear.
My work has been instrumental in the pilot being become a ‘real’ subscription product; I will be working with the Brew Republic team over the coming months to evolve the branding further and provide updated assets for the Shopify site.
